About the artist

Peggy Jelmini's passion for art began at an early age when she received a scholarship to a regional art center while still in elementary school. That early encouragement ignited a lifelong commitment to painting and artistic excellence. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Art and was awarded the Dean's Medal for Scholarship and Service, laying the foundation for a distinguished professional career.

Dedicated to continual growth, Peggy has studied with many of the country's most respected artists, refining both her technical skill and artistic vision. Their mentorship, combined with her own disciplined approach, has shaped a body of work recognized for its exceptional craftsmanship, sensitivity, and ability to transform everyday subjects into compelling works of art.

Peggy first established herself as an accomplished watercolorist, earning recognition for her luminous interpretations of California's Central Valley, capturing its quiet landscapes and native flora. Seeking new inspiration, she expanded her studies on the East Coast, attending programs at the National Gallery of Art and participating with organizations including the Potomac Valley Watercolor Society and the Virginia Watercolor Society. These experiences broadened her artistic perspective and further strengthened her distinctive style.

Throughout her career, Peggy's work has been exhibited in galleries and juried exhibitions across the United States, including numerous successful solo exhibitions. Her paintings have been featured in respected publications such as The Artist's Magazine and Carmel Magazine, and she has been honored with the Gold Medal of Honor from the Northwest Watercolor Society.

Today, Peggy works in both watercolor and oil, and her paintings are included in hundreds of private and corporate collections nationwide.
